All of Marina's etchings are hand-pulled originals, done in the traditional way as first developed by some of the old world masters many centuries ago.

The creation of an edition starts with a careful study of the subject matter, involving a lot of sketches.  Marina is well known for her ability to drill down into the details that adds authenticity to her work.

Marina creates her own plates (zinc or copper).  Then each etching is individually created by her that involves inking and wiping the plate.  Finally the plate is hand cranked through a high pressure etching press which embosses the image onto the paper.
